MORE ABOUT THEA RAMSAY (in her own words)…

“I’ve been a Christian for a long time. I’m Baptist, and have undergone the believer’s baptism twice—the first time when I was fourteen, the second time in the Pacific Ocean off Maui, with my late husband.
I’ve been writing since before I could spell. I still remember writing a short story in which I spelled magic “M-A-D-J-I-K.” Ha ha.
I’m a voracious reader, and still like magic, however you spell it. Not witchcraft, of course; I mean fantasies and fairy tales, which have delighted people for centuries.
I was born blind, have chronic pain from a variety of conditions, and a serious mental illness called borderline personality disorder.
I’m concerned about so much darkness and dystopic material in books and movies today. My mother liked horror, the strange and terrible, whereas I’ve always been attracted by beauty, the strange and lovely.
My favorite Bible verse is John 3:16 and 17. It’s still the best news I’ve heard all day. 1st Thessalonians chapter 4 verses 13-18 are also my favorite verses, as they deliver still more good news re the rapture of the church.
I’ve always been fascinated by the idea that true believers in Jesus Christ are called his bride.
My fave book in the Bible is the Song of Songs.
Anyway, I like soft, romantic, beautiful things. There’s not enough of that anymore in the world, so my writing is about that.”

Thea’s latest book is entitled Lucy.

Description:
Ten-year-old Lucy and her parents live on Earth in the last throes of its final holocaust. Their only hope is being accepted as refugees on another world, but one rejection letter after another eats away at their hope, while death closes in on them. Hope revives when a stranger arrives with a letter of acceptance from the mysterious planet Andorpha.

While Lucy, her best friend, Kim, and her parents wait to board the space ship, her parents are killed. Lucy faces danger and growth as she comes to grips with her parents’ death and the strange customs of Andorpha. While Kim laps up Andorphian love like warm milk, Lucy wonders if it’s all too good to be true. When Lucy learns the Andorphians believe their planet is under a curse, she begins to suspect there is a reason that she and her family were so readily accepted as refugees. Do they expect her to be the antidote to an ancient curse?

When Kim urges Lucy to accept the Andorphians and their way of life, the only shot at life they have, Lucy is certain she’s right. But all is not what it seems.

Inspirational Journeys Presents: Book Review of Cassandra and the Cowboy by Janine Mick Wills

Hello everyone in the blogosphere, Today I have a special treat for you. I am reprising a book feature from a blog post I did on July 9, 2019. However, instead of an interview, I will link my book review of the featured novel below.

Book Title:

Cassandra and the Cowboy: Texas Treasures book 1

Written by Janine Mick Wills

Book description:

Cassandra Pickett is one prayer away from giving up on God. The tragic death of her father and the devastating results of the Great Drought of 1886 have centered the family ranch, the Triple P, in the crosshairs of the Goose Neck Ridge Bank of Texas. Desperate to save the Triple P, Cassandra sees only one option: marriage to Phillip Brigham, her neighbor and local cattle baron, who promises to repay her father’s loan. When the enigmatic Matt Atkins shows up looking for a job, Cassandra wonders if the cowboy could be the answer to her prayer instead. As they work side by side, Cassandra’s feelings for Matt deepen, and she envisions the possibility of marrying for love and not out of necessity. But her dreams are shattered when she discovers Matt harbors a hidden agenda for the Triple P. Will Cassandra have to turn to Phillip after all, or will God take the shards of her broken dreams and create something far beyond what she could ever hope for?

Danger in the Shadows: Prequel to the O’Malley Series, a book review

If you like suspense novels, but don’t like the blood and guts of hard core thrillers, I have the perfect Christian suspense novel for you. I just finished a compilation by Dee Henderson called Jennifer: An O’Malley Love Story and Danger in the Shadows” Prequel to the O’Malley series. Although Jennifer touched my heart in a special way, it left me wanting more. However, When I read Danger in the shadows, I could feel the tension, and I had a hard time putting it down.
When She was six years old, Sarah Walsh and her twin sister were kidnapped by two madmen and tied up in a cellar for nine days with nothing but a small bottle of water between them.Since Sarah’s rescue, she has been threatened by one of her kidnappers, while the other is behind bars. Security is tight around Sarah, and if the kidnapper sends her and her brother’s father a package containing one of her favorite mementos, she has to disappear. However, she meets Adam while being stuck in a dark elevator. Is she able to get past her fear of the dark, and her fear of being found again? Will she allow herself to fall in love and be happy?
I not only find this book a good read, because it is somewhat similar to A Journey of Faith, but Dee Henderson is a great writer, who captivates her readers, and keeps you inthralled in her story until the very end. I give both Jennifer and Danger in the Shadows books a 5* rating.

A Fearful Heart by Cherry Christinson book review

Last weekend I finished reading an awesome book by Cherry Christinson called A Fearful Heart. I must say that this book was hard to put down. The author pulled me right into the story, and kept me going until the end. I can’t remember the main character’s name, but I believe that she would have been better off falling for her best friend, instead of a guy she met in college, who actually turned out to be a very bad guy. I won’t say much more than that, but I give this book a 5* rating. I purchased this book for $0.99 on iBooks.
Until next time, happy reading, writing and blogging, and God bless. BTW, happy easter to one and all.

Character Interview with Asher Brooks revised

Hello everyone,

Today I’m here with Shelly and Becca’s old Boss from A Journey of Faith, Asher Brooks. As you will discover, Asher is a very mean, verry self-centered, character. If he doesn’t get his way, he wants to get revenge. Now, I’ll let him tell you a little about himself.

Ann. Hello Asher, How are you today?

Asher. I ain’t in the best of moods right now, and this chat is making me angrier by the minute.

Ann. Well, I hear that you are very angry with Becca and Shelly quitting on you. Why is that?

Asher. You should know the answer to that by now.

Ann. What about Diana Peabody, She left the firm, because she was losing her sight. Don’t you care about her health?

Asher. Nobody leaves my department, no matter what the reason. You get hired in my department, you work for me until I say you can quit?

Ann Was Diana’s accident a real accident, or did you have something to do with it?

Asher. I ain’t done nothin’ to harm that girl. All I did was help Ted Morris clean the rocks. How was I to know that she’d want to climb those stepping stones? It like

Ann. Do you believe in God?

Asher. I ain’t got time to talk about anyone’s beliefs in God or anything else, I got to get to work. (Starts to leave then turns around and flops back down into his chair.) Well, okay, I take that back. I am starting to have more faith in God, than I used to, but I’ll let the readers find out more about that.

Ann. Lord help him.

Asher. What did I tell you? I ain’t saying any more about my faith in God. I got to go find out who in tar nation is messing up those rocks. (storms from the room.)

Well, now you see what a cantankerous man Asher can be at times, but as we saw, his mood changed right quick when he thought about what the Lord has done for him.Let’s just pray that the person responsible for the mishaps, is caught before someone gets hurt.

On another note,

Becca has finally faced her fears, but I’ll let you read the book to find out how. In order for you to read A Journey of Faith, I need your help to get it published, by voting for it at http://tinyurl.com/qe2wwtf.

This interview has been revised and added to a little booklet of character interviews that I have put together for my interested readers. If you’d like to receive this and my book of essays about music, please let me know.

A Journey of Faith, is turning into a Christian suspense novel

Is my inspiration running dry? Not so much, especially last night and this morning. Let’s just say the incident that Becca Martin witnessed was an accident, but someone may have caused the accident to play a dirty trick on the patrons who love to visit Sweet Water Park to go climbing and biking.

Shelly Marcus, Becca’s old roommate pops up in Tensiltown to analyse some pictures Becca’s mom found on Facebook. What does this have to do with Becca facing her fears? Well, I’ll have to get the book published for you to find out. One way you, my dear readers can help me do that is by voting for it at soopllc.com/blog/book-ideas/journey-faith-ann-harrison. Thanks to those of you who have already voted. Please help me spread the word.

Love and prayers, see you next time.
