The muse is speaking to me through my internal music

Hello my lovely peeps,

Today I am feeling really energetic and creative. I have a feeling I am going to get some writing done. Let me tell you how I came to this revelation.

Have you ever had one of those days when you can feel the chill of a story that’s been hidden inside you for who knows how long, just waiting to come out? How about hearing a melody in your head that isn’t necessarily a familiar one, yet you can’t shake it no matter how you try? Today I am hearing a melody within me, and I just feel a story coming out of it, but I can’t put my finger on what the tune is trying to tell me. As I was going to eat lunch, I heard the muse tell me “look at Journey to the Mountain Top”. I’m not sure, but I have a distinct feeling that this mysterious melody is telling me something about my second novel.

What do you think? Could this be my novel calling out to me, or the makings of a different story? Have you ever experienced this feeling right before you start a story, or when you’re in the throes of a novel? If so, please share your thoughts in the comments below. Remember dear writers, our words are our instruments and our songs are the stories we tell.

Happy writing and God bless you on this beautiful Friday afternoon.
