A Story Begging to be Written in 2016

Happy New Year, everybody!
Last year I dreamt that I wrote a story about a girl from Regency Engling finding herself in modern day Chicago. I had a few scene ideas that I originally wrote in my notes. However, after I got my daughter settled , the story popped up in my head at sometime after three this morning. I have written a rough draft of a prologue, but I will need to do some research before I begin actually creating the manuscript on my PC.
There are a few questions I have about the process of writing such a historical piece. For instance, How do hystorical romance authors come up with fictional Character titles? How do they come up with names of high society characters. If any of you want to weigh in on these questions, and would like to share any other information related to this huge fictional project, feel free to do so in the comments section.
